Eleftherius Venizelos International Airport has a rail station that is served by line 3 of the city's metro. It takes about 40 minutes to reach the center of the city.

If you prefer a private transfer, especially if you're going straight to the port for your Greek Island ferry, you have the following option:

Once there, use the metro to get around, although most of the main sights are within walking distance.
To reach the Acropolis follow the large pedestrian Dioysiou Aeropagitou street and take the steps up the hill.
