THE ARCHITOURIST REPORT: OSCAR NIEMEYER’S BRASILIA, AN URBAN WONDER

This is the first special of a regular series entitled “The Architourist Report” at UCityGuides.com, using photography to highlight the most fantastic architecture around the urban world. We start with the landmarks of Brasilia, the Brazilian capital designed by Oscar Niemeyer that’s been nominated one of the world’s urban wonders. If you haven’t yet voted for your favorite urban wonder you can still do so here: 7 Urban Wonders of the World.

Below are Brasilia’s government buildings as well as its stunning cathedral, pure sculptures that have turned the city into a bold metropolis that’s now being discovered by architourists.

All photos are by Marcio Cabral, Brasilia.
