A NEW SHOWROOM FOR SILVERA’S CUTTING-EDGE DESIGN IN PARIS

The Paris-based contemporary furniture retailer Silvera has a new address. It is now also found on Avenue Wagram (at number 41), covering a space of 500 square meters. The very first showroom opened in 1991 and the Silvera name has since then become synonymous with design innovation. With five different showrooms in the French capital, this new space presents furniture, books, fashion accessories, and cutting edge design objects at prices that could go for less than 10 euros all the way to tens of thousands. Cappellini chairs, Ron Arad sofas, or Jaime Hayon-designed Camper shoes are just some examples of what you’ll find in the interior by Patrick Jouin, who used concrete and colored walls to make the objects stand out. There are some truly unique pieces, the type that UCityGuides.com and savvy travelers like to find, and that can be done at this new shop until 8PM — making it a perfect stop before dinner at another Patrick Jouin-designed space, the restaurant of the Plaza Athènèe Hotel with its phenomenal menu by Alain Ducasse.
