The night beyond the Tango |

Bar 6
You can come here at any time of the day, but we recommend it for a stop at night. That's when DJs provide a soundtrack to choosing from a long list of drinks, but if you're looking to eat earlier in the day, this is also a good place for breakfast and other meals in an attractive concrete, wood, and glass space.
El Gran Danzon
The restaurant serves sophisticated Argentine classics, but the real reason to come here is for the bar, with over 200 wines to choose from, as well as arguably the city's best cocktails which attract Buenos Aires' most upscale crowds.
647
This "dinner club" is currently one of the most sophisticated dining and drinking addresses in Buenos Aires. It's an elegant, luxurious space serving Argentinean haute cuisine but you can simply go for a cocktail at the bar. It presents imported spirits and mixes cocktails that rank among the best in the city.
Liquid
This well-decorated bar attracts young 20-somethings for a night of drinks (and some dancing on Friday and Saturday nights). It also serves light meals of salads and sandwiches.
KANDI - Av. Báez 340
Formerly called "Vodoo," this resto-bar features an interesting décor worth checking out as you sip a cocktail. Sit on the caramel leather seats and check yourself on the round mirrors before going for a light meal of tapas, pastas, or sandwiches. That's if you arrive earlier in the evening, as crowds only start arriving at around midnight, with several Djs taking turns choosing the best deep-house and other electronic sounds.
SOUL CAFÉ - Av. Baez 246
This well-established bar attracts hipsters of all ages for its different music styles (going from rock to dance and hip hop) and good cocktails. It has a rather 70s (mostly red) look in the décor, giving it that "soul" in the name.
DADÁ - San Martin 941
Located downtown, this bar recalls the early 20th century to the sounds of jazz and bossa nova. It's open during the day, and you can go in for a meal (made with organic ingredients), an afternoon drink, or a late-night get-together. The skilled barmen will mix a variety of cocktails for you, and there is also a good selection of wines, usually enjoyed by an artsy crowd.
La Diosa
Unwind at this bar along with groups of loud 20 and 30-somethings, who know this is the place for a laid-back night, often to the sound of a live band, DJs, or comedy shows. It also serves meals.
Deep Blue
Take the name seriously and expect to see a lot of blue at any of the Deep Blue bars in town. As you'll see on the website (linked above), they're modern, even futuristic spaces attracting as many locals as foreign visitors who often get together for beer or a game of pool here.
Milion
The most beautiful locals like to mingle at this early-20th century mansion with three dining rooms and two exterior terraces. There's always plenty of flirting going on as they sip cocktails at the garden or at the popular bar on the first floor. If you're coming to dine, expect some standout cuisine, and admire all of the furnishings and portraits of the wealthy family that built the place over a century ago.
Museum
No, this club is not located in a museum but its design by Gustave Eiffel (to serve as a factory) has it listed as a national monument. It starts the evenings as a restaurant with special shows on Friday and Saturday nights, while its three floors are later taken over by a hip crowd grooving to the sounds of the 80s, 90s, and today's dance hits.
Bahrein
A century ago this building was bank, but today it's where some of Buenos Aires' most stylish parties take place. It includes a bar-restaurant upstairs, while other young crowds enjoy the pop and rock music downstairs. Below that is the main dancefloor where DJs mix all kinds of electronic beats as wall visuals and flashing lights light up the place.
Asia de Cuba
The chill-out ambience at this elegant space is often mixed with the upbeat sounds of the 70s and 80s, deep house, or hip hop, depending on which resident DJ is working that night. Decorated with Asian art and darker colors, there is also a restaurant serving a multi-ethnic (mostly Asian) cuisine. The dancing starts at around 1AM, when the volume is turned up and the entire space becomes a club for drinking and dancing.
Niceto Club
The dance parties at this club have been the city's most popular for years, especially Club 69 on Thursday nights. You'll move to the sounds of major local and international DJs spinning house or the latest dance mixes, while on other nights it can range from 80s New Wave to rock.
Pacha Buenos Aires
It's best known for its Ibiza club, but Pacha is now an international brand, and its home in Buenos Aires is also the place for all-night dancing and mega-parties. Check the website through the link above for the upcoming events.
Club Araoz
International DJs bring the sounds on weekends, with styles ranging from hip hop to dance hits. At the restaurant, a big screen shows videos and shows. It often gets packed with a hip (and attractive) crowd, so book in advance if you want to dine here as well.
Caix
Buenos Aires' youngest crowds (18 to 24) are the majority at this club on weekends. The music is a mixture of electronic sounds, while some good cocktails, martinis, and tequilas are enjoyed in between the dancing.
