The Best SHOPPING in Buenos Aires
Buenos Aires' coolest shops and markets

Buenos Aires really shows its European roots in its shopping streets, with major fashion labels found around AVENIDA ALVEAR. It's found in the Recoleta neighborhood, where you'll also see Argentinean designers. Local styles are also present in the Palermo district, while PLAZA DORREGO in the San Telmo neighborhood is the setting of a popular flea market and the place to look for antiques. Not too far away is CALLE FLORIDA, a pedestrian street with souvenir shops and good bargains on leather goods, shoes, and jewelry.

ONE-STOP SHOPPING
Galerias Pacifico
This is an enormous shopping palace, a gilded Beaux Arts building that is very much a city landmark since the late 19th century. You'll find familiar brands together with local names, all under a central dome beautifully covered with murals.

SPECIAL DESIGNS
Buenos Aires Design
This mall is entirely devoted to design, and you'll find both top brands along with not-yet-known names. Among them is the popular MoRPH, specializing in unusually-shaped items.

Manifesto shop, Buenos Aires Manifesto
This design outlet has special pieces of cutting-edge furniture and if you fall in love with any of them, you can arrange to have it shipped to where you live.

Planas Viau
A dead glass-blowing factory was brought back to life in order to produce beautiful original glassware. It is now sold in several shops in Buenos Aires as well as around the world, with the factory found just a few kilometers south of the Argentinean capital.

LOCAL STYLES
Juana de Arco
You'll find many fashion designers in the Palermo district, but you'll agree with everyone that Juana de Arco's styles are the most interesting, which is why her shop is among the hippest in the city.

Tramando
Set in a well designed space in Recoleta, fashion designer Martin Churba's boutique presents unique clothes and accessories with the collaboration of other designers, artists, and architects. His creations have gained popularity ever since the opening of other shops in New York and Tokyo.

Trosman
Having gained recognition in the major fashion capitals of the world, this designer shows off her collections in her country's capital, where you can find eye-catching designs made with exotic materials.

Maria Cher
She learned her art in London and has become known in the United States and Japan, but it's in Buenos Aires that Maria Cher shares most of her simple but glamorous collections in a well-designed boutique.

Hermanos Estebecorena
Men looking for something new for their wardrobe should check this shop in Calle El Salvador offering 100% Argentinian design. Most of the pieces are casual chic mixed with some sportier looks, and there are also shoes and underwear.

Rapsodia
There's more than one branch of this shop but whichever you go into you'll find cocktail dresses, sweaters, and jeans at good prices. Many of them are made with exotic fabrics, and there are also vintage looks at a couple of the shops.

Massone Pini Qüerio
The contemporary jewels of this trio of designers have won awards for their innovative looks and materials. Check the website for their latest collections.

La Casa de las Botas
The House of the Boots lives up to the name. It has boots of all styles and for all purposes, from riding boots to "country boots." They can be made to order, and are all stitched on site, taking weeks to reach perfection.

Humawaca
Men and women can pick up a quality leather bag in a variety of sizes and styles at this brand's three shops in the Argentinean capital. The products shown on the website will give you an idea of what you'll find.
