Getting to and around Florence |
|
You'll probably arrive in Florence by train from elsewhere in Italy, ending at Santa Maria Novella Station, just a 10-minute walk from the Duomo.
But if you are flying into the city you'll land at the Amerigo Vespucci Airport, from where you can take the SITA bus to the center of the city. Alternatively, take an inexpensive taxi. Another option is to go for a private arrival transfer and private departure transfer.
You'll rarely need to use public transportation once in the city, as it is so compact and pedestrian-friendly. Take leisurely strolls between the sights.
