From Barajas Airport, take the metro into the center of Madrid.
You will then be able to walk around the city to reach most of the sights as they are within walking distance. Otherwise, take the easy and efficient metro.

If you prefer not to rely on public transportation for a connection between the airport and your hotel, you have the following options:
