The Best of Milan's BARS and CLUBS
A night out in Milan

Just Cavalli Cafe, bar, Milan Just Cavalli Cafe
Roberto Cavalli's showroom in Via della Spiga includes a bar-café in the basement where the city's fashion set drinks cocktails surrounded by mirrored surfaces and a huge aquarium. Not everyone can afford Cavalli's fashions but the cocktails served here are accessible to almost anyone.

Shu Milano
This design bar and restaurant is for those wearing the Italian designer labels. It's a trendy destination on Friday nights, when it's turned into a club for dancing to house music until morning. A golden forearm supports the high ceiling, while the floor is made of resin with pieces of chrome tiles, all illuminated by a green light.

Café Atlantique
There's "café" in the name but this is a cocktail bar, restaurant, and club. Many of its club parties attract a hip crowd that likes to dance to New York-style house music.

BAR MAGENTA - Via Carducci 13, at Corso Magenta, Sant'Ambrogio
This bar has become a Milan institution, crowded with those hoping to relax with an aperitivo or a beer. It has a casual ambience and is open until 2AM.

MARTINI BAR AT DOLCE & GABBANA - 15, Corso Venezia
Dolce & Gabbana' bar has one of the most sophisticated interiors in Milan. Reached through the label's menswear store, it has a black mosaic floor, leather seats, and a giant chandelier, under which you can drink a wide range of cocktails served by a staff wearing - what else? - Dolce & Gabbana.

Armani/Privé
Located below the chic Armani Nobu restaurant, this stylish nightclub used to have an invitation-only policy, but now you too can simply show up and hope to make it through the velvet-rope. Another option is to dine at the restaurant upstairs and come down for an expensive drink while you sit next to a crowd trying hard to look beautiful.

The Club Milano
There's always a special party here every weekend, mixing chill out sounds, with hip hop, house, funk, and soul. The crowd tends to be young and cool.

Plastic
Plastic dares to be different. It's an attractive, unconventional club that selects those who can enter its doors to enjoy the night there. The décor is made up of mirrors, candelabrum, and diffused lights surrounding the space everyone drinks or dances to acid house.

Le Banque
Located in the financial district, this used to be a bank before it was turned into a club with an expensive restaurant upstairs. The dancefloor is usually filled with a fashion victim crowd.

Magazzini Generali
Set in a former industrial warehouse, this is one of the best nightlife choices for those who enjoy dancing all night long on sweaty dancefloors. Here are several events throughout the week, so check the website when you're in town to find out what's going on.

Alcatraz
Hosting a wide range of events, this huge space should be your choice for a laid-back evening. It's often the venue for major concerts in the city, including some well-known international bands and artists. A fun crowd also usually fills up the massive dancefloors on regular club nights.

Hollywood
Milan's fashion glitterati have been flocking to this club for two decades, especially when there's a special party or fashion event. You may bump into top models, sports stars, and television personalities, who dance or drink to the sounds selected by top DJs.
