Mykonos is the best shopping destination in Greece (with Athens or Santorini coming in second). You'll probably fall in love with a copy of an ancient Cycladic piece of art or will go for the trendy and designer clothing that line the streets. Many of those fashion shops (including upmarket names) are found along Matoyiani Street, while elsewhere you'll also see some tempting jewelry shops. Nothing comes cheap, and the shops at Santorini are often just as expensive (the jewelry and gold shops here are your best choices in the island). The best time to shop is in late afternoon, especially because almost everything is closed between 2 and 5PM as the staff also has the right to enjoy a day out in the sun...
Places worth finding are:

MYKONOS

Rousounelos shop, Mykonos Rousounelos
Specializing in exclusive watches and jewelry, this shop is centrally located and offers luxury brands such as Cartier and Rolex

Mykonos Silver
This shop proves that going for silver can be just as good as going for the gold. The ancient Greek silversmith art is on display here, in both classic and contemporary designs. There is jewelry, vases, candlesticks, and a number of other products.

Scala Gallery
There is a high number of galleries in Mykonos, and you'll surely pass by this one as it is found on the Matoyiani shopping street. There are books and jewelry in addition to the paintings and sculpture.

SANTORINI

Replica
Ceramics, glasses, and masks are just some of the pieces of Hellenic art that you'll find at this shop. There are authentic works inspired by Greek traditions and folklore, but as the name suggests, mostly a large number of imaginative replicas of ancient works of art.

Opera Art
Not only does this shop offer views over the Caldera, but also some unique pieces of art, from those made of Santorini black sand to paintings of the island -- all to the sound of classical and opera background music.
