Getting to and around San Francisco |
|
From San Francisco's international airport, take the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) train to the center (you can get your BART tickets online so you don't have to wait in line at the airport).
Once there, the best way to get around is by bus which cover almost the entire city.
Although it is fairly easy to use the train from the airport to the center of the city, many travelers prefer a shuttle transfer on arrival to take them to their downtown hotel. There is also a shuttle transfer for departure, taking you from your hotel to the airport.
CAR RENTAL
If you're heading outside San Francisco (and many visitors do, as they take the opportunity to explore more of California and go on to Los Angeles), it is recommended that you rent a car. Check car rental rates here.
