Getting to and around Zurich |
|
From Zurich's Kloten International Airport, a taxi ride into the center of the city can be quite expensive. A far better option is to take the train which arrives in less than 15 minutes at the central station Hauptbahnhof. From there you may either walk or take a tram to most of the city's hotels. You may also go straight to your hotel from the airport by using a private arrival transfer, and then go from your hotel back to the airport with a private departure transfer.
If you're arriving in Zurich by train, your gateway to the city will also be the Hauptbahnhof station.
Zurich is a very easy city to navigate and great to walk around in. You won't ever feel the need to use public transportation once in the center of the city, but the network of buses and trams is extensive (there is no metro system).
